Meath Championships 2012

On Sunday 2nd September, Navan Road club will once again run the Meath Championships. This major event was a feature on all cycling calendars in the past but did not run for quite a few years until now that is. On September 2nd Sunday it shall rise and once again to see Meath clubs roll out their cyclists. All clubs are encouraged take part of what promises to be a very keenly contested placing. ‘There is a great interest already and cyclists are keen to take part in this end of season championship’ said PJ Nolan at the recent championship meeting. Cycling and road racing has a huge rise in popularity in recent years and the Meath Championships will be bringing together clubs for a great event on home soil.
Venue; Registration and start from Navan Retail Park, Navan. Just off the M3 and

 N51 roads, Navan.
Start times will be 11am for under 12, 14 and 16 over 4 laps of 7km.
12 noon ; Novice Race and
1p.m. Meath Championships open to A1,A2,A3,A4 (all categories) 10 laps of 7km (70km)

Residents of Meath are eligible to take part in the Novice Race of the Meath Championships tomorrow at 12noon even if you are not a member of a Road Club as long as you understand you must pay the €10 for a 1 day license and the €10 for entry fee. In your best interests to register for the license. For Road Clubs, only Meath clubs may take part. Usual guidelines for races apply. Should be fun.
    Underage 11am and all other categories 1p.m. Navan Retail Park. Toilet facilities accessible in Navan town. :))
